The Wall's Terms

Last updated: 20.07.2026

What the wall is. The Unsaid Wall is an anonymous space for the things you do not say out loud. Truths fall, some rise, all are anonymous. It is run by the creator of the Hormesis Effect project.

Anonymity. We do not collect identity and we do not know which truth is yours. That protects you, but it has one consequence: we cannot find or withdraw a truth "on your request", because we have no way to confirm it is yours. Release only what you truly want to release. Do not sign your truths and do not include details that could identify you or anyone else.

Content rules. The wall does not accept: personal data (names, addresses, numbers, accounts), threats or incitement to violence, sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance, reported to law enforcement), doxxing or tracking, spam or ads, unlawful content. Every truth passes automated moderation, some also human review. Profanity is masked. We may decline to publish or remove any truth at any time, without explanation.

Content licence. By releasing a truth:

  1. You keep the copyright to your text.
  2. You grant the wall's operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to: publicly display the truth on the wall; reproduce and distribute it in The Unsaid Wall materials - share cards, the Truth of the Week newsletter, video formats, and posts on The Unsaid Wall's official social media profiles; and to make technical and editorial adaptations (profanity masking, cropping, shortening, translation, placement in graphics) - always anonymously, never with identifying data.
  3. You accept that other users may further share cards containing your truth.
  4. The licence is irrevocable: because of anonymity we have no technical way to establish that a truth is yours, so we cannot honour its withdrawal.

You confirm the truth is yours (or you have the right to use it) and does not infringe anyone's rights.

Votes. "I feel this" is anonymous and counted. There are no accounts or profiles.

Liability. Truths come from anonymous people and are not advice. The wall is not crisis support - if you are struggling, use the Support tab. The operator is not responsible for user content; we act on reports (the Report button).

Age. The wall is intended for adults.

Changes and law. We may update these terms; the version date is always on this page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country.
